(1888PressRelease) February 25, 2010 - Keeping people out of the cold and spreading unity is the core message behind Blanket America!
Since the slump begun in 2008, several Americans are plunged into poverty. It is estimated that 35 million Americans live below the poverty line. During Leader Barak Obama's inaugural address, he called to our nation to take action, requesting that we tend to forget about each other during our nation's hard times. He also highlighted the fact that, while Americans could not agree on most issues, we tend to all have one thing in common. We tend to can give with the hopes to create a better nation and lend unity. Though Americans all have different backgrounds, traditions and cultures from which they originated, our country can come together. Obama stated that "we know that our patchwork heritage could be a strength, not a weakness."
With those significant words, Mesh Gelman and his team of designers created a tribute statement quilt to benefit charity. It's known as the Patchwork Heritage quilt and it answers Obama's call to action. Blanket America's Patchwork Heritage quilt answers the call to action through its innovative new strategy: Obtain One, Offer One. That is to mention, for every Patchwork Heritage quilt sold, a new fleece blanket is donated to charity. This innovative idea represents each the patron and charity.
