Black Girls Unscripted presents Cupcakes & Conversations - A Live, Intergenerational Listening Session
Black Girls Unscripted presents Cupcakes & Conversations - an inspiring evening of wisdom sharing, intergenerational conversation, and empowerment.
- Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) December 10, 2015 - On Sunday, December 13, 2015, 150 moms, daughters, and grandmothers from across the Washington Metropolitan area will gather together for the launch of Cupcakes & Conversations hosted by Black Girls Unscripted in association with Bozutto Properties.
The free, interactive event will be moderated by publicist and television industry veteran, Micheline Bowman. The evening will focus on shared life experiences and important messaging on self-love, all in a fun, welcoming environment. Hampton University students will also partner to host a campus edition of Cupcakes & Conversations with discussions centered around popular culture, favorite authors, careers, and leadership.
"We live in a social media era that unfortunately leaves very little space for personal interaction, especially interaction across generations," says Black Girls Unscripted founder and CVO, Tiffany Gill. "We're addressing this by creating a platform for dialogue between women and girls where they can share similar experiences, feel empowered, and collectively address issues that impact their overall well-being."
Cupcakes & Conversations will call on local women-experts to address a wide range of topics including mental health, fitness, healthy relationships, peer pressure, and media imagery. Attendees will also have the opportunity to record inspirational message in the Bozutto Story Lounge. The event will end with gift bags filled with goodies from event sponsors including Shea Moisture, OPI, Wegmans, and J. Cooper Sweet Sensations. Additional sponsors include Comcast and 87 Magazine.
The event will be held from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Harmony Place Apartments Clubhouse, 14909 Health Center Drive, Bowie, MD 20716. Visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cupcakes-conversations-tickets-19454417687 to register.
