- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) June 05, 2011 - Crain's New York Business recently released their list of the Top Entrepreneurs of 2011. The top spot was given to Biz2Credit, an online system making access to commercial loans, credit reports and other financial products easier. The platform was developed with immigrants in mind, who Indian founders Rohit and Ramit Arora discovered tend to have a lack of understanding of the U.S. banking and credit systems.
The online firm matches small businesses with three to 10 potential lenders, and lets clients edit their financial documents online. The brothers started partnering with small banks in the NY-area and the Midwest when the business opened 4 years ago, and they now work with some of the nation's largest banks, including Wells Fargo.
Squarespace, a web publishing platform for small businesses, also made the list. For $12 to $36 a month, clients can use Squarespace to create high-quality websites, while easily integrating other services, like Flickr and Twitter. Founder Anthony Casalena is now working on improving the software for a relaunch this summer.
