bitkit|MAILGATE combines the ease-of-use of the bitkit|FRAMEWORK that automatically updates and maintains the Linux operating system and its associated middleware with the deep feature set of Mailspect Defense and Archive. Mailspect released Version 5 of its Defense and Archive products in the summer of 2010. Mailspect Defense defends the email stream from computer viruses, spam, malware, Trojans, denial of service attacks, dictionary attacks, backscatter, and DNR spammers. Mailspect works at the pre-scan, scan and post-scan levels of the mail gateway to provide the most effective antivirus and antispam protection based on real-time black lists, offensive word lists, world class antivirus and antispam engines and quarantine feedback loops. Advanced features like Mailspect Archive are fully integrated as are outbound data loss protection and content routing and scoring.
bitkit|MAILGATE works with virtually any mail server or groupware solution. However, bitkit|MAILGATE is optimized to work with Zarafa, but also works well with Open-Xchange, Zimbra, Communigate Pro, Qmail, Postfix, Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes or any other IMAP compatible email server.
