Birthplace of Mickey Mouse to Benefit from Partnership with Buttonwood Financial Group
Local charties in Kansas City are being given potential income boost from art sales through Buttonwood Financial Group and its sister company, Buttonwood Art Space. The birthplace of Mickey Mouse to be one beneficiary.
- Kansas City, MO-KS (1888PressRelease) February 28, 2012 - Buttonwood Financial Group, LLC has announced that it will partner with several non-profit organizations in 2012 through its sister company, Buttonwood Art Space. The art exhibition space, located at the Buttonwood offices at 3013 Main Street in Kansas City, MO, supports six art exhibitions each year and participates in the Crossroads First Fridays. In June and July of this year, Buttonwood will sponsor an art show and sale, "Animation & Imagination", with proceeds to benefit the local Kansas City 501(c)3 Thank You Walt Disney, Inc. (TYWD) The organization is rebuilding the original Walt Disney Studio and birthplace of Mickey Mouse® at 31st Street and Troost. Over 200 original artworks, many by licensed Disney®, LucasFilm® and Marvel® artists will be offered for sale with 50% of the proceeds going to the charity.
The second non-profit organization to benefit through partnering with Buttonwood Financial Group and the Buttonwood Art Space is the Kansas City Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts (KCVLAA). Again, 50% of sale proceeds from an August and September art show, "Kansas City Seen" will benefit the non-profit group that offers legal and business consulting for the local artist community.
Buttonwood is also proud to annually sponsor the October/ November "Visions of the Flint Hills Art Benefit & Sale" that benefits preservation and promotion of the Flint Hills region of Kansas.
