Bipolar Bears to take the stage at Emergenza
The Bipolar Bears will compete in the Emergenza Rock Festival in Australia. This Indie Rock band hopes to be crowned "Best Band in the World."
- (1888PressRelease) May 20, 2013 - The Bipolar Bears combine elaborate vocals with a hot, fresh pop style all of their own.The members of the Bipolar Bears all play multiple roles in the band. Devin Hanley plays bass, guitar, drums and sings vocals.Caleb Holland plays drums, sax, keyboards, guitar and sings vocals. Daniel St. Clair plays guitar, keyboards, bass, drums and does vocals. David Guthrie plays drums, percussion and sings vocals.
The Bipolar Bears sound is influenced by some of their favorite performers such as David Bowie, ELO, The Smiths and Jeff Buckley. All members of the band write their share of the songs and help each other with the details of their songs.
Their music is not the only thing unique their entire concept and way of looking at life stands out. Here is their biography in their own words:
"Long ago, we dove through mile thick sheets of churning blue ice, pawing through bottomless caverns of light with freezing drops from menacing icicle fangs, dripped from the ceilings of where the paradise hangs. Suspended on a hovering platform which spins as they tread their paws upon its phantom surface, and spinning through the caverns constant dripping, breaking through the glassy surface of the furthest side. Spun until they were steam and shot up through the ice and displaced the burg. Hovered high above the frozen land and showered it with wealth. Before, we were only polar bears. Now we're something else..."
The Bipolar Bears stand out in all aspects of their musical life. They hope the world will see them for the characters that they are and vote them into the festival finals to be held in Germany this coming August.
