BinarySEC Keeps Cyber-Attackers Behind WebFense Firewall
BinarySEC of France has released WebFense, a state-of-the-art firewall and antivirus web application which provides effective protection against cyber-attacks, while allowing for maximum acceleration thanks to its web-caching system. Internet traffic is cleaned up by WebFense prior to reaching the website.

The BinarySEC model blocks any abnormal traffic before it reaches the website, and provides protection against data theft, service breakdowns, identity theft and a host of other attacks via the web.
In contrast with traditional tools, which are based on signatures and handwritten filters, BinarySEC features a patented artificial-intelligence (AI) engine that can learn which requests are legitimate. The French company's antivirus protection package is now available through subscription. What really sets it apart, however, is WebFense's user-friendliness, which allows users to easily secure their own website. The 500 users currently using BinarySEC technology include professional web-hosting companies and internet publishers, e-commerce websites, and a range of institutions.
The AI engine developed by BinarySEC analyses incoming traffic and, over time, blocks requests deemed to be malicious. The learning process undergone by the engine lasts for one week, during which time the website remains fully operational. The BinarySEC tool can manage several hundred million requests per hour and customers observe an acceleration of between 10% and 200% in web traffic.
No updates are required, which provides protection against so-called zero-day attacks. The package, compatible with all websites and web servers, is based upon a platform operated and supervised at BinarySEC data centres, so that any website can be protected in a matter of minutes.
