Biltmore Who's Who Selects Vickie A. Miller as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Miller, Labor Relations Consultant for Ohio Education Association, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Vickie A. Miller's commitment to excellence in Education.
Miller, who holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Urbana University, who is a certified adult education vocational teacher and is also certified in mediation and arbitration, began working in her field in 1983.
In her current role, Miller assists union members with their contract rights and also acts as their voice in mediation and arbitration. She is the liaison for the association, does consultant work for educational needs and enhancements for teachers in correctional education for deaf and blind teachers and students, and acts as an advocate for public school labor. "As a teacher, I did not have a voice on work conditions, rights or how to make the teaching profession better" Miller said. "I pursued those avenues that could create change for the teachers."
Hoping to continue working in the education field and provide insight on a higher level, Miller also aspires to lecture and become an avenue of knowledge for policy and government change. In the meantime, she continues to respect the confines of her role by working side by side with many of the members that she represents by, as she describes it, "walking in their shoes."
Miller is a member of the Correctional Education Association, American Correctional Association, American Mediation Association and the Professional Staff Union. She is the co-author of a book, titled Education Behind Bars, published in 2008. She was named Employee of the Month for the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections for Quality Services Through Partnership in 2003. She's also assisted in the development of several magazine articles for Ohio schools over the years and is an advocate for educators since 2000. In her free time, Vickie enjoys going to the beach, traveling and spending time with her family.
