Biltmore Who's Who Selects Thomas M. Powers as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Powers, Retired Police Officer and Supervisor for the La Palma Police Department, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Thomas M. Powers's commitment to excellence in Law Enforcement.
Powers, who holds an Associate's Degree in Administration of Justice from Long Beach College, spent thirteen years on the police force, beginning as an officer, and later as a supervisor.
Having been in charge of the entire force's officers and their actions as a supervisor, Powers primary responsibility was to protect the safety of the residents of the city of La Palma. He also served on the swat team and was in charge of the detective bureau over the years.
"My mother had always taught me right from wrong and to respect other people. I enjoy thinking that I was being paid for my mother's good advice," Powers said about his career in criminal justice.
In addition to the years he served on the force, Powers also spent twenty-one years as a backhoe operator. He is a Vietnam War veteran, was named Officer of the Year while with the La Palma Police Department, and served as the Grand Marshall for this year's Fourth of July Parade. In Thomas's free time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle.
