The selection recognizes Stephen Pratt's commitment to excellence in the field of Information Technology.
Pratt, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Alabama, began working in IT in 2003 as a systems administrator for North Alabama Science Center in Huntsville.
As director of information technology, Pratt's main agenda includes planning and implementing additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure, in coordination with corporate leadership. He also anticipates future needs and identifies proactive solutions to satisfy those needs. Having a strong technological skill set and communication skills, he is able to bridge the gab when discussing technology concerns with senior executives. "I have the philosophy that any need can be met regardless of restrictions."
Planning to grow professionally in his field, Pratt's passion is in building new IT programs for companies just starting out and would love to take on that challenge again someday. In the meantime, he continues to work hard to prove himself in the field so that he can continue to advance. So far, he has overseen the installation of seven new facilities within his company and has received numerous service awards from them as a result. In his free time, Stephen volunteers with Huntsville Park Baptist Church, and enjoys tinkering with home theater equipment and doing home remodeling.
