- Riverside-San Bernardino, CA (1888PressRelease) May 22, 2012 - Ruth Ippoliti, Athletic Trainer at Great Oak High School, has been selected as a Professional Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Ruth Ippoliti's commitment to excellence in Athletic Training.
Ippoliti, who studied athletic training at Indiana University and Hope College, is a board certified athletic trainer. She started her career at Great Oak High School just after completing her graduate coursework, in charge of all student athletes and the sports medicine student aid program.
As a certified athletic trainer, Ippoliti is in charge of injury prevention, evaluation, prognosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for all student athletes. She works with the team physician with injury and concussion management, facilitates pre-participation examinations for all student athletes, oversees a group of select high school students that assist her all year long with injury prevention and treatment, and is in constant contact with her athletic director, team physician, parents, and coaches to provide the best and most efficient medical care for the student athletes.
Having had the pleasure of being mentored by some of the best program directors in athletic training, Ippoliti strives to set a good example for her students and to live up to the educational training that was provided to her.
"A good bedside manner, treating people holistically, and striving to better oneself daily is what I hope to inspire in my students," Ippoliti noted.
With daily goals of doing her best to help anyone who walks into her athletic training room, and to conduct research in her field, Ippoliti's ultimate goal is to work with a sports team and attend the Olympics as their athletic trainer.
A member of the National Athletic Training Association and California Athletic Training Association, Ippoliti also works as an internship site supervisor for California State University at San Marcos.
