Biltmore Who's Who Selects Rosa E. Munoz as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Munoz, Teacher for Westview Middle School, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Rosa E. Munoz's commitment to excellence in the field of Education.
Munoz, who holds a BAS in Arts and Science from the University of the Southwest, has been teaching since 2001.
Responsible for preparing lesson plans, teaching the curriculum, reviewing data from benchmarks and assessments, and assuring that all of her students' progress, Munoz teaches sixth grade students in world cultures. She is also dedicated to providing a safe zone and be a mentor for all her children, something she feels is very important. "The realities of being a good teacher include being a nurse, counselor, mediator, tutor, and most importantly, a parent," she explained. "This is not just a job to me, it is my calling in life and I am grateful that I am allowed to live out my dream."
Currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, Munoz wants to become better informed so that she can make a more positive change in what teachers do and how to teach. She wants to be more of an advocate for her children so that they can advance and become successful citizens in society. "I want to have my children grow healthy in their learning and lifestyles, to become wonderful adults and to have awesome memories about what I taught them," Munoz said.
A board certified teacher for the state of for grades 1-8 and also a certified English as a Second Language teacher, Munoz is a member of the National Education Association, Texas State Teachers Association and Association of Texas Professional Educators and is also an Achievement Via Individual Determination (AVID) sponsor teacher as well. She was named to Who's Who American American Teachers, named 7th Grade Teacher of the Year, and currently serves as secretary for her local PTO, and is actively involved in Relay for Life and Habitat for Humanity causes. In her free time, Rosa enjoys exercising and softball.
