The selection recognizes Richard E. Ide's commitment to excellence in Water and Wastewater Consulting Engineering.
Ide, who holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts, began working in his field in 1981.
Contributing to the design, engineering and supply of numerous water, wastewater and process filtration plants involving all facets of filtration, from micron filtration to seawater reverse osmosis desalination, Ide has over twenty-nine years experience in his field. He is also very knowledgeable in project management, technical sales and marketing, with extensive experience in critical and demanding reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, microfiltratio, MBR, ion exchange and ancillary applications. He has traveled throughout North America, Europe, South America, Asia and the Mid-East supporting, consulting, training and assisting in water, wastewater and process filtration applications.
Inspired in his field because due to his passion for clean water and the "good that comes from proper water, wastewater and miscellaneous filtration applications", Ide hopes to be able to share and be recognized as one of the most experienced, sharing and better teachers in his field.
Ide is a member of the American Membrane Technology Association, Southeast Desalting Association, Water Environment Federation, American Water Works Association, Water Quality Association, the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, WaterReuse Association, American Society of Safety Engineers, Photo Marketing Association and American Desalting Association. In his free time, Richard enjoys traveling, basketball and baseball.
