The selection recognizes Richard A. Parr, II's commitment to excellence in Insurance.
Parr, who holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology from West Virginia State College, is a licensed life, accident, sickness and property-casualty agent with over twenty-five years experience in the field.
Starting out with a small company that insured employees of business and later with an agency that his father owned, The Dick Parr Insurance Agency, Parr eventually became a captive agent with his current organization.
As an agent and manager, Parr sells insurance, trains new and existing employees and handles customer service.
Spending a big portion of his days behind a computer, Parr said, "People and computer skills have benefited me greatly in this business. Most people are looking for someone to treat them fairly and honestly and to be easily accessible when they need help."
Having a father with over thirty-five years experience in the business and a mother who also contributed over twenty years to the industry as well (she is now deceased), Parr hopes to continue building on his skills in insurance, gaining additional training and certifications for selling flood insurance and other products his company offers its clients. Most recently, he became On Your Side Certified.
Parr is a member of the National Rifle Association. He is also the recipient of Superior Customer Service Award through his organization. When he isn't busy working, Richard volunteers with Covenant Christian Fellowship and also enjoys fishing, reading and travelling.
