Biltmore Who's Who Selects Pamela Welcome as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) April 21, 2012 - Pamela Welcome, Manager and Executive Assistant at Georgetown University, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Pamela Welcome's commitment to excellence in Higher Education.
Welcome, who holds a BS in Business Education and Computer Literacy from Strayer University, and has taken courses in Executive Administration and Computer Science from Georgetown University, has been working in her field since February of 1981.
In her current role, Welcome manages three full-time financial aid counselors and two part-time office assistants. She charts and provides statistical data of merit scholarships, need-based grants, institutional and federal loans awarded to students by the Office of Financial Aid to the American Bar Association, and reviews financial aid awards evaluated by financial aid counselors.
Relying on her ability to self-motivate and pay attention to detail, Welcome said "My inspiration is drawn from an inner yearning to use my God-given talents to do my best at all times. I try to remain flexible, reminding myself that there is no perfect world and that I must flow with the present and not long for perfection."
With aspirations of retiring within the next four years, Welcome plans to stay active as much as possible to keep both her mind and spirit very much alive.
Welcome earned a Performance Award through Georgetown University in 1985, a Dedicated and Excellence Award in 1994, and a Special Merit Award for Outstanding Service for 2006-07. When she isn't busy working, she volunteers her time at Clinton's Nursing home and also enjoys doing yoga, exercising, and watching movies.
