Biltmore Who's Who Selects Norene Kemp as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

The selection recognizes Norene Kemp's commitment to excellence in Higher Education.
Kemp, who holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Information Systems and a Master's Degree in Information and Telecommunications Systems, both from Johns Hopkins University, is a certified Project Management Professional who began working in her industry in 1991 at the University of Maryland University College.
After spending numerous years working in administration for a college, Kemp developed a love of technology. She soon took on a position as a web design coordinator and later as a technology project manager. Then years later, Kemp began her career in education at Horry-Georgetown Technical College.
Responsible for preparing and delivering course material, advising students, participating in college committees and serving as faculty advisor for their student club, Association for Information Technology Professionals, Kemp's routine is anything but tedious. She also advises and participates in several community service events with students, including Teats for Special Kids, Food Fight, Heart Walk and Relay for Life.
Crediting her project management, information systems and business applications experience, Kemp said, "After my first week in the classroom, I knew teaching was where I was meant to be."
Hoping to acquire the new Microsoft Office certification and maintain her current certifications in project management, Kemp looks forward to her future years in education. She is a current member of Association of Information Technology Professionals, Mobile Web Initiative and Project Management Institute. When Norene isn't busy working or volunteering, she enjoys reading, swimming and watching football.
