Biltmore Who's Who Selects Marla Jo Mason as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) January 16, 2012 - Marla Jo Mason, Musician and Artist, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Marla Jo Mason's commitment to excellence in Music and Art.
Mason, who has been playing musical instruments for most of her life, wrote her first song in 2010 that landed her a record deal through Tate Music Group of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The country gospel artist's song, entitled "I Won't Have to Worry About This World Anymore", was inspired by a bad day at work.
"Music has always been a hobby, something I enjoy," Mason said. "Playing multiple instruments and striving to learn new things has strengthened and encouraged me to learn all I can. I don't want to be Taylor Swift, I just want to have a good time and send positive messages out to the world and make a difference."
Mason, the victim of many years of domestic violence, hopes to serve her local communities and partake in fundraising to support domestic violence, suicide prevention, feeding the homeless, helping children in need, and most importantly, giving back.
Having experience with numerous different instruments, including the flute and piccolo, Mason can also play the guitar, upright bass, mandolin and twelve-string. She hopes to soon form her own band soon with a good country sound, as opposed to continuing to sing solo.
Mason received a Kentucky Award in 1994. She also had numerous American and state flags flow in her honor during the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. During 2005-10, while working for the US Government, she sang at several special events for the military, including troop deployments, for units arriving back from war, promotions, retirees, and for Change of Command ceremonies.
