- Portland-South Portland, ME (1888PressRelease) October 18, 2011 - Lucille Painchaud, School Psychological Service Provider for Brunswick Schools, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Lucille Painchaud's commitment to excellence in Education and Psychology.
Painchaud, who holds a BA in Multidisciplinary Social Science from Michigan State University and two Master's Degrees, one in Developmental Psychology from Oakland University and one in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, and a master equivalency in school psychology from the University of New England, is a certified School Psychological Service Provider and Licensed Psychological Examiner through the state of Maine.
For the past thirty-five years, Painchaud has worked in various mental health and substance abuse populations, including state funded group homes, clinics and residential homes. Currently, she is responsible for administering psychoeducational testing to students from grades K-12, which cover cognitive, social, emotional, attentional and educational functioning and provides recommendations for services. She also explains those results to students, parents and school personnel involved before submitting these evaluations as
confidential documents into students' school files.
"The experience of seeing persons become calmer, more insightful, more knowledgeable about their strengths, safer, more confident or more accepted," Painchaud explained, "has always been my greatest motivation."
Contributing her extended education and well-rounded, in-depth professional orientation to her success, Painchaud is comfortable staying in her current role for a while. She may, perhaps, seek a supervisory or consultant role in the future.
Painchaud has received numerous acknowledgments throughout the course of her career, including a Continuous Fifteen Years of Service Award through her current school district in 2008. She has also instituted plans for and aided in opening the first residential group in Monroe County, Michigan for teens/young adults that have previously been placed in a mental health institution, wrote and implemented a positive behavior and incentive level program for a Catholic Charities residential home in Detroit, and in 2000 accepted an invitation to travel to China for two weeks as a member of the People To People Child Development delegation.
