Biltmore Who's Who Selects Linda Mikulan-Maxfield as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) October 07, 2011 - Linda Mikulan-Maxfield, Senior Manager for Baxter Healthcare, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Linda Mikulan-Maxfield's commitment to excellence in Healthcare.
Mikulan-Maxfield, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from Bradley University and an MBA from the Dominican University, began working in her field as a medical technologist in a hospital setting just after earning her first degree. From there she went on to work for a personal care company as a microbiologist in 1986 where she learned about the marketing, manufacturing testing of products aspect of the business. Eventually, it opened doors for her to get a promotion and become a group leader of the company's microbiology laboratory.
In her current role, Mikulan-Maxfield has many areas reporting to her, including new supplier request approvals, finished goods, corrective and preventative action, audit readiness team, lead auditor training and the medical products liaison for the US and Puerto Rico. She also leads the Global Supplier Quality Council, which is a communication forum to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the supplier quality system. In addition to numerous other routine tasks, she also responds to internal and external audit observations, serving as the subject matter expert for supplier quality during on-site audits and providing support for internal and external audit observations on a global basis.
"I am an optimistic-realistic," Mikulan-Maxfield in regard to her style in the business world. "When given a project I take ownership, responsibility and accountability for all of my actions."
Always willing to take a chance, get out of her comfort zone and learn new things, Mikulan-Maxfield hopes to become a director in quality in the near future. In the meantime, she plans to continue to work hard and prove her abilities by exceeding management expectations through performance reviews.
Mikulan-Maxfield is a member of International Pharmaceutical Excipeinits Council, Parental Drug Association and American Society of Quality and is chairperson of the Baxter Healthcare Global Supplier Quality Council. She is a certified RABQSA lead auditor and is registered with the American Society of Quality as a quality manager and as a medical technologist with the American Society of Clinical Pathology. Mikulan-Maxfield is also a speaker in her field, most recently speaking at the Institute of Validation Technology annual west coast forum, titled Auditing Suppliers in Emerging Markets. When Linda isn't busy working, she enjoys hiking, jogging and boating.
