Biltmore Who's Who Selects Leon A. Brumfield as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Brumfield, Project Technical Advisor for FedEx Services, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Leon A. Brumfield's commitment to excellence in Information Technology.
Brumfield, who holds a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, first began working in his field in 1991 with Texas Utilities Electrical Company.
For the past fifteen years, Brumfield has been working for FedEx Services. In his current role, he supports the FedEx Electronic Data Interchange customer base by developing new software and technology and modifying existing programs to meet the needs of clients. He also reviews documentation and code and tests results to ensure that new and updated software meets compliance standards.
"Systematically thinking, I am able to break problems into smaller units and solve those units individually," Brumfield said about on how he processes the technical knowledge he uses from day to day. "The ability to be a technical person who can think with a business sense is a very useful."
In addition to thinking outside the box and challenging himself everyday in the field, Brumfield is grateful to his parents for having pushed him academically over the years. Hoping to continue in the technical arena for at least another five years, he looks forward to a bright future in the business and possibly management opportunities.
Brumfield is a minister for Mt. Horum Baptist Church. He also serves as secretary for the East Ft. Worth Inter-Denominational Ministerial Alliance and is currently the editor for ERRP Magazine. He has served as the National Engineer's Week Speaker for TU Electric and also volunteers with FedEx Meals on Wheels and TU Electric Adopt-A-School. He is a certified Engineer-in-Training since 1991 and boasts many awards throughout his career, including a FedEx Action AWARD for Project Innovation, was named Outstanding Poet through the International Society of Poets, received a Project Advance Award through Fed Ex and also received several Fed Ex Bravo Zulu Awards for project excellence. When Leon isn't busy working or volunteering his time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing chess, tennis and songwriting.
