Howard, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science from South University, has been working in the industry since 1991.
In his current role, Howard does home and hospice care services for patients, completes referrals, ensures clinic operations are performed effectively, coordinates with doctors' plan of care for at-risk patients, assists the program director with maintaining Ryan White grants and supervises intermediate medical staff. He also educates and instructs patients on HIV care and primary medical care. Having worked in various medical fields, from pediatrics to intensive care and geriatrics, Howard's experience is vast. His seven years of military experience also paid a crucial role in his work ethic and success in his field. "I come from a family where helping others was the norm," he said, noting that his grandmother was a nurse.
Hoping to soon become a program director for Ryan White services at his organization, Howard is optimistic that his hard work will pay off. In the meantime, he plans to continue in his role as clinical case manager and do good work.
Howard is a former petty officer third class for the US Navy and is certified in CPR and Basic Life Support. He is also a certified substance abuse and HIV counselor. He's a member of Christian Life Church and volunteers by mentoring young men and boys within his local community. In his free time, Kenneth volunteers his time with First Providence Church's Teach Health Ministry.
