Turner, who holds a BA from Fort Valley State University and recently earned his MBA in General Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, began working in his field in 2000.
As a manual laborer, Turner's job can be challenging. Responsible for making sure that his company's finished products are stacked properly before shipments, he is one of the last employees in his department to inspect the packaged product.
"My athletic background plays a major role in my success," Turner explained. "The rigorous training I have done, and continue to do, give me the mental capacity to deal with the stress related to manual labor. It also gives me the leadership qualities and structure to deal with conflict in the workplace."
With aspirations of getting into a management position, Turner knows that he has a bright future ahead of him. Until that time, he continues to challenge himself both mentally and physically in his current role.
Turner has been awarded for safe work hours numerous times since working for his current organization. When he isn't busy working he enjoys running, drawing and going fishing. He also volunteers and donates with United Way.
