Blackwell, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, founded her business just one year ago, with the initial phases of the business beginning three years prior.
After spending nine years in microbiology and another nine in the corporate world, Blackwell decided to take the plunge and start her own business. As president of her company, her goal is to bring quality people into her group that work independently from a home office, making corporate level income while contributing supportive skill sets to the group. She interviews candidates, looking for core skills and qualities that support the group and its mission, and then directs her new consultants and trainers to the resources they need to be successful, using both individual and group settings for teaching purposes.
Crediting a big part of her success to the variety of roles she had during eighteen years in the workforce, Blackwell also recognizes the impact of having spent three years traveling the world, teaching individuals and groups on installation and use of proprietary software. "It has definitely provided the training expertise to help me lead others to success," she said.
Having a business that enables her to educate clients, while leading her colleagues to achieve financial success on their own terms, Blackwell aspires to someday teach the government, larger organizations and perhaps more prominent individuals on how programs, such as those she represents to her customers, can change the way healthcare is managed by consumers and healthcare facilities. She also hopes to write a book, saying, "I'd like to write about my professional journey as a means to educate people on the need to take control of their future instead of mindlessly trudging to and from a job each day."
Blackwell is licensed by the Florida Department of Health and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists since 1989. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Client Relationship Best Sales Organization Award in 2002, a Silver Superstar Regional Sales Director Award in 2007, a Shining Star Award as a Senior Regional Sales Director in 2008, and an Executive Sales Director Achievement Award in 2009. In her free time, Kellie enjoys gardening, hiking and reading.
