Biltmore Who's Who Selects Keith W. Schultz as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Schultz, Ships Master and Offshore Installation Manager for Helix Energy Services Group, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Keith W. Schultz's commitment to excellence in the field of Oil and Gas Exploration.
Schultz, who holds a BBA from National University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and is a licensed master mariner, began working in his field after retiring from the US Navy in 1998.
Ultimately responsible for the safety and operations of the crew, vessel and safety of the environment, Schultz's duties differ by maritime sector, where a ship's master on a cargo vessel maintains full autonomy for the vessels operations and safety.
"We control all aspects of the business enterprise with regard to scheduling voyages, supplies, provisions, and seeing that the necessary maintenance is accomplished as mandated by domestic and international regulations," Schultz explained.
Contributing his years in the service to his strong devotion to duties and responsibilities as master and belief in his crew, Schultz said his team is always ready for the demands of operations and emergencies. With his greatest joy being able to sail around the world, he hopes to attain a shore side management position where he can use his experience and education to improve the shipping or drilling of a company's vessel management, or possible entertain the idea of becoming a harbor pilot.
A master mason F&AM and member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Counsel of American Master Mariners, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Schultz retired with the US Navy as a senior chief quartermaster with twenty years service, having served in the Persian Gulf, Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He also participated with the World Food Organization delivering food to third world countries, and just last year as Master and OIM of Q4000 with Helix Energy, directly supported the British Petroleum oil spill containment operations. In his free time, Keith enjoys traveling, motorcycle riding and reading.
