The selection recognizes Kathleen Carr Meheen's commitment to excellence in Court Reporting and Law.
Meheen, who holds an Associate's Degree from the City College of San Francisco, began working in her field in 1978.
Boasting over thirty years experience in the field, Meheen now owns her own firm, contracting with independent and certified court reporters to provide reporting services to attorneys and courts. She contracts for videography, does interpreting services when requested by clients, and provides videoconferencing, which permits worldwide access via television screen to many different proceedings, including depositions, interviews and meetings. She also provides transcription from tapes to DVDs to clients upon request.
"I am dedicated to providing the highest level of service, offering the latest technologies to my clients to allow them to accomplish their objectives with the most ease," Meheen said. "Being a working reporter myself, I understand the challenges facing the reporting profession and I implement indicated changes and procedures that make it more rewarding for clients and reporters alike."
Meheen's firm covers depositions, trials, meetings, arbitrations, mediations and medical exams. Her reporters travel countrywide, statewide, nationally and internationally. Her organization is the largest reporting firm in the Monterrey area.
A member of the National Court Reporters Association, California Court Reporters Association, Deposition Court Reporters Association, Society for the Technological Advancement of Reporting and Monterrey County Bar Association, Meheen is also a strong supporter of her local Police Athletic League and breast cancer awareness causes. When Kathleen isn't busy working, she enjoys travelling, playing golf and spinning.
