Biltmore Who's Who Selects Karen Klotz as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

The selection recognizes Karen Klotz's commitment to excellence in the field of Court Reporting.
Klotz, a certified court reporter since 1982, began working in the industry at the Palm Beach County Courthouse as a deputy official. After seven years, she decided to open her own business, and it has been going strong for the past twenty-nine years.
As owner and operator, Klotz reports depositions, hearings and trials. Most of her work is in family, criminal and probate law, as well as foreclosures. She and her team also keep verbatim records and produce all the necessary transcripts for the attorneys. In addition, Klotz handles all accounts receivables and payables for the company.
"I was a senior in high school at a career day fair when I discovered court reporting," Klotz said. "I instantly fell in love with the idea that you could actually type as fast as someone could speak."
After high school, Klotz visited a local court reporting school and discovered that Lincoln Business Institute was offering an academic scholarship that year. After taking a battery of tests and achieving the highest score, she attained a full-tuition scholarship. Since then, she has made it a priority to demonstrate the importance of career day by encouraging her children and their fellow classmates to take advantage of learning about all the different fields and programs available to them after graduation.
Klotz is a member of the Florida Court Reporters Association, the National Association of Professional Women and is the official career day organizer at Berean Christian School since 2001. She volunteers at Christ Fellowship Church, is a foster parent for Animal Care and Control, and is a strong supporter of The Lord's Place, United Service Organizations and other soldier-related organizations. When Karen isn't busy working or volunteering, she enjoys travelling, playing the guitar, boating and riding her horse, Agenda.
