Greiner, III, Chief Financial Officer for Durr Heavy Construction, LLC, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Joseph N. Greiner, III's commitment to excellence in Finance.
Grenier, who holds three degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University, including a BA in Economics, a BS in accounting, followed by a MBA, has been practicing in his field for over fifteen years.
Starting out at an international marine transportation company in the company's treasury department, Greiner learned first-hand about treasury management and corporate debt agreements and structures. He has worked in several industries since, but truly enjoys the challenges of the construction industry, especially in the post Hurricane Katrina New Orleans Market. "I believe that no matter how long you have done a job, there is always ways to improve and learn," he explained. "I am a strong believer in both personal and professional growth, and seek out additional training and resources for both myself and my finance team."
As CFO for one of the largest construction firms in southeast Louisiana, Greiner is in charge of the overall financial responsibilities of the business and its various divisions, including treasury management, merger and acquisition analysis, capital expenditure procuring, investment analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and profit and loss statements. He is also responsible for the owner's other business entities and non-profit organizations, which are vastly diversified and comprise of several non-construction related industries, including property management like retail strip malls and self-storage facilities, land holding entities, land mitigation banks, hotel and tourism, horse breeding and racing, material excavation, renewable energy and other green initiatives, and timber.
Now established in his career, Greiner hopes to be a role model and mentor to others in the field and to be able to help them achieve their goals. "I believe that I have a keen ability to solve problems by making numbers tell a story," he said about his experience. "Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working in various industries that are extremely different in nature but ultimately, the numbers always remain the constant that binds everything together.
Greiner is certified through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of several organizations, including the American Society of CPAs, the Louisiana CPAs Society, the New Orleans/Bayou Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, and the New Orleans Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association. In his free time, Joseph enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and watching football.
