- St. Louis, MO-IL (1888PressRelease) March 17, 2012 - Jean L. Gatewood-Harding, Ordained Minister at Abundant Life Fellowship, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Jean L. Gatewood's commitment to excellence in Religion, Singing and Sales.
Gatewood-Harding, who holds an Associate's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Theology, both from Metropolitan Christian Bible Institute/Advantage College, became an ordained minister in 1996.
Beginning at the age of three, Gatewood-Harding started singing, making her first appearance with her two sisters, which was the beginning of The Jones Sisters Gospel Ensemble. She still currently sings solos and at area concerts.
"As a professional singer," Gatewood-Harding said, "you must keep in good health, take special care, exercise your vocal cords daily, and get good sleep and rest."
Gatewood-Harding is also a retired Mary Kay cosmetics director. She obtained directorship in less than a year and was featured in the Chicago Defender for her accomplishments. She also served as executive regional trainer for Carson, Pirie, Scott of Chicago, Illinois. She trained new employees and was also kept abreast of new programs and procedures as they became available.
Inspired by her loving parents, the late Reverend Damon and Willie Ann Jones, to set her goals high and to be the best she could be in all her endeavors, Gatewood-Harding always pushes herself to do her absolute best when it comes to career. Her singing career had enabled her to perform at the Kiel Oprah House and with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. She was also the recipient of a pink Cadillac, one of the most prestigious awards through Mary Kay for sales. She is currently working on three books, which she hopes to have published soon, and she's been featured in an article in the Chicago Tribune, titled Women From 40 On. She is member of the Tri Del Federated Women's Club of the Illinois and National Association of Club Women. Presently, she and her husband Wayman are happily serving at their local Abundant Life Fellowship Church, where Bishop Mathew Ferguson is Pastor.
