Biltmore Who's Who Selects James W. Campbell as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Campbell, Vice-President and General Manager of Alpine Aerotech, Ltd., has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes James W. Campbell's commitment to excellence in Aerospace.
Campbell, who attended British Columbia Vocational School and is a certified aircraft maintenance engineer, began his career at Associated Helicopters in Edmonton in 1969 as an apprentice aircraft maintenance engineer.
In 1971 Campbell became licensed and began doing helicopter maintenance, only to start up a component overhaul shop for the company before taking on various management positions with the company. But after much experience in the field and in management, Campbell was ready to take on bigger challenges. As vice-president and general manager of Alpine Aerotech, the helicopter repair and overhaul center, which specializes in Bell Helicopter products, there is never a dull moment. "I have always been mechanically inclined and have been taking things apart and putting them back together since I was a very young boy," he explained. "I enjoy working with people, both my employees and customers, and I have good relationships with them, making me very successful in managing businesses."
Attributing hard-working employees to his success and what really makes everything come together on the job, Campbell really wanted to get back into the repair and overhaul process of the helicopters. After getting an opportunity to take over for someone who was about to retire for the company, he was excited at the opportunity. "I knew it would be a good fit for me and after a number of months I was hired to replace him," he said.
With a desire to grow the business, both in the products lines it has now and the possibility of adding more, Campbell knows how to stay focused and driven. In 1999, he and his partner were awarded with the British Columbia Entrepreneur of the Year award for emerging businesses. In his free time, James enjoys playing golf.
