  • Birmingham, AL (1888PressRelease) July 20, 2010 - Jacqueline W. Paddio, Vice-President of Student Affairs for Talladega College, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Jacqueline W. Paddio's commitment to excellence in the field of Education.

    Paddio, who earned her Bachelor's Degree from McNeese State University in 1979, followed by her Master's Degree in Ministry, Christian Counseling and Psychology from Freedom Bible College, began her career in higher education in 1987.

    Starting out as the head of the women's softball team at Southeastern Louisiana University, Paddio later relocated in 2001 where she was named head of Texas College's softball team. Within three years she was promoted to Dean of Students, where she remained for the next five years. In January of 2008, she was promoted yet again, where she currently serves as Vice-President of Student Affairs at Talladega College.

    In her current position, Paddio provides leadership for a comprehensive student affairs program, which includes a wide range of responsibilities, including planning, implementing programs, budget development, management and staff supervision, and evaluation. The management and supervisory tasks include admissions/recruitment, athletics, student health, registrar, and residence life. She also noted that it is crucial that she attend and participate in all official college functions.

    Paddio's profession plays a significant and impressionable role at her college. She has learned over the years the value of true leadership and what an important part she plays at the institution. "My destiny was always towards leadership," she explained. "The variety of professional experiences I've encountered has enabled me to become a strong leader. I am very organized, a great motivator, and am able to communicate effectively to all walks of life."

    Currently pursuing her Doctorate in Theology at Freedom Bible College and Seminary, Paddio is a member of numerous organizations, including the National Professional Women's Association and Leading Edge Institute. She is serves as administrator of ministerial operations at Belleview Missionary Baptist Church where she manages all aspects of ministry leadership and training, assuring that all facets of ministry is functioning in accordance with Senor Pastor vision. She was chosen as one of fifty prominent women in the state of Alabama to contribute to a book called Dear Dani. She's also a 2009 recipient of the National Scholar Honor Society and was named to the 2010 Who's Who in Black Birmingham's third edition. In her spare time, Jacqueline volunteers at Belleview Baptist Church and enjoys reading, family time, and of course, softball.
