Biltmore Who's Who Selects Howard Smith as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- (1888PressRelease) August 28, 2010 - Howard Smith, Owner and Tour Guide of Cradle Coast Tours, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Howard Smith's commitment to excellence in the Tourism industry.
Smith, who holds a post-graduate diploma in tourism from the University of Tasmania, began his business in January of 2004 as a personal guide and host to the very popular Northwest coast of Tasmania, including the Cradle Coast and Tamar vineyards.
As owner, Smith manages and runs the tour business, handles all of the marketing and finances, and acts as the company's tour guide with extensive knowledge of the area based on a long history of working in the Coast. The tours can vary with anywhere from two to seven guests per tour, and each tour can be personalized and unique with insights into many aspects of the area. Other tours offered are the Cradle Tour, which visits the Cradle Coast, the Tamar Tour, covering the Tamar Valley, the Stanley Tour, or Stanley and the Nut, and the Canyon Tour, which is the Leven Canyon and Gunns Plains. "The biggest satisfaction is seeing the delight on the faces of my clients when they see the tremendous beauty that is a part of Tasmania has," he said.
The former geography and economics teacher hopes to soon expand the business and offer more to his clients. "I would love to offer three-day tours," Smith said. "I love what I am doing and feel I am making a significant contribution to my state." The state, which is a small island off the coast of Australia, boasts just over 500,000.
Smith is a certified tourist. He is also a member of the Tourism Council and volunteers at his local Lion's Club and Salvation Army. He recently won his sixth tourism award for service. In his free time, Howard enjoys playing golf and tennis.
