Biltmore Who's Who Selects Gary R. Schwartzhoff as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Schwartzhoff, Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Gary R. Schwartzhoff's commitment to excellence in the field of Higher Education.
Schwartzhoff, who holds three degrees, a Bachelor's Degree of Music Education from Central College, followed by a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Northern Iowa, and a DMA in Choral Conducting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, has spent the past thirty-six years of his life doing what he loves most, teaching.
With expertise in choral conducting, choral repertoire and choral technique, Schwartzhoff has served as Director of Choral Activities for the school's department since 1991. He conducts the Concert Choir, The Singing Statesmen, and The Chamber Choir, teaches several courses, and also administers the program of six choral ensembles. He is the artistic director and conductor for The Master Singers, a community chamber ensemble with membership throughout the Greater Chippewa Valley, and also serves as the Director of Music at the First Congregation United Church of Christ.
Crediting his fellow professionals in the field and his exceptional students, Schwartzhoff plans to remain at the university and continue developing an outstanding choral program at "Wisconsin's Singing University."
Schwartzhoff is a certified K-12 teacher of choral music and post-secondary education. He has presented twenty-five juried performances before international, national, divisional, and state conferences and conventions. He has also served as guest conductor and adjudicator for a number of choir festivals throughout the US and Canada. He served as president of the North Central Division of the American Choral Directors Association from 1992-94. He was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma in 2009. In 2007, he was awarded with the Outstanding Church Musician Award, followed by a 2010 Morris D. Hayes Award for lifetime achievement by the Wisconsin Choral Directors Association. Gary is married to his wife Nancy. They have two children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and cheering on his favorite teams, the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
