Biltmore Who's Who Selects Evelyn Musick as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Gadsden, AL (1888PressRelease) August 27, 2010 - Evelyn Musick, Nursing Instructor at Gadsden State Community College, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Evelyn Musick's commitment to excellence in the Healthcare and Education.
Musick, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Jacksonville State University, followed by a Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, has been working in the field since 1989. Starting out as a staff nurse in an area hospital, Musick transferred to the cardiac catheterization lab before beginning her teaching career in 2009.
Teaching at the college level, Musick provides classroom, skills lab, and clinical instruction to beginning nursing students. She also coordinates the simulation lab where students go through scenarios with a computerized simulation manikin to enhance their critical thinking skills. She also serves on various committees within the institution. "I chose to become a nurse to be a positive influence on those who are sick and promote wellness and quality of life," she explained. "I teach nursing in hopes of inspiring others to be caring nurses."
Considering furthering her career by obtaining a PhD in nursing education, Musick is content in her current role within the faculty. With twenty-one years of experience in her field, she is excited and looks forward to the years ahead.
Musick is a registered nurse since 1989 and is also certified in basic life support. She is a member of the Honor Key Society, Technical Services Committee, and Pinning Ceremony Committee. She is an active volunteer with DeKalb County Children's Advocacy Center and the Health Ministry Team for Mount Vernon Baptist Church. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports, and reading.
