Biltmore Who's Who Selects Ellen Rae Donner as an Executive Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
The selection recognizes Ellen Rae Donner's commitment to excellence in Pharmaceuticals.
- Baltimore, MD (1888PressRelease) April 24, 2012 - Ellen Rae Donner, Pharmacy Technician for Weems Creek Pharmacy, has been selected as an Executive Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.
Donner, who holds an Associate's Degree from Arundel Community College, is a graduate of Strayer Business School, and also studied interior design and art, worked for an electric company, a stock firm, and later for the US Naval Academy for thirty years before retiring in 1999 and starting a new career in pharmaceuticals.
Now a pharmacy technician, Donner is responsible for a variety of tasks, helping fill prescriptions and labeling medications, daily office managerial operations, handling customer service, stocking supplies, cleaning and more.
Crediting her hard working parents for teaching her the importance of being independent, Donner has always worked hard to prove herself and to play a productive role in society. She hopes to soon wind down, however, work part time and travel more.
Donner has volunteered with a number of organizations in the past, including the SPCA, Cats-R-Us, Maryland Therapeutic Riding for the mentally challenged, and Pets-on-Wheels. She has also volunteered with Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis and hopes to volunteer with them again. She and her family have also made significant contributions to the Donner Cancer Center Pavilion, a facility that has been honored in her name, located in the pediatrics and cancer buildings, as well as the entrance to the pediatrics ward. Donner is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Worker's Achievement Award through the US Naval Academy, a Letter of Appreciation from the American Cancer Society and several awards through the SPCA. When she isn't busy working or volunteering, Donner enjoys horseback riding, exercising, and dancing.
