Biltmore Who's Who Selects Dr. Charles Samaras as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, AR-MO (1888PressRelease) July 24, 2010 - Dr. Charles Samaras, an Adjunct Professor for Tufts University, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Dr. Charles Samaras's commitment to excellence in the field of Dentistry and Higher Education.
Samaras, who earned his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, has been working since 1982, boasting twenty-eight years of experience in his field. After joining the faculty at Tufts Dental School in 1998 as Director of Practice Management and clinical instructor, his teaching and lecturing career really began to take off.
As an adjunct professor at the university, Samaras also serves on the editorial board of Dental Product Shopper. He also contributes articles to various other publications, including Dental Economics and Inside Dentistry. He is a guest lecturer at many dental schools around the country and is a trainer for CEREC/CAD/CAM technology. He has also lectured internationally, which he has credited as one of the best experiences of his life. "I found that the more I taught, the more I learned," he explained. "I have met so many wonderful people that have enriched my life."
Noting how fortunate he was to receive his education from Tufts, Samaras said he that he was privileged to be taught by some of the best instructors in their field. He said they educated him on how to be a good doctor and what it meant to be a professional, which is why he returned to teach a four-year curriculum in practice management. One of his mentors, Howard Buster Navins at Governor Dummer Academy, taught him how to be a great lecturer and teacher. "I never dreamed I would rely so much on all the things he taught me in his course," he added. Samaras also credited his parents and his local community for wanting to pursue a career in healthcare and the desire to give back.
Samaras hopes to continue lecturing around the world, and teach for many years to come. His passion is in educating and engaging his colleagues and future colleagues about the world of dentistry and clinical excellence. He is a member of several organizations, including the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentistry, American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Sandhills Dentists Society, NEDS, and the Academy of CAD/CAM Dentistry. He served as president of The Lowell Dental Society from 1983-84 and president of the Lowell Rotary Club from 1994-95. He is the co-founder of 21st Century Practice Solutions Educational Group. He was awarded a Special Appreciation Award from AHEPA Chapter 102 in Lowell as was also named to Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities and to Outstanding Young Men of America. In his free time, Charles enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and reading.
