Biltmore Who's Who Selects Deborah Keathley as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Nashville, TN (1888PressRelease) February 26, 2011 - Deborah Keathley, Telecom Specialist for the State of Tennessee's Department of Children's Services, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Deborah Keathley's commitment to excellence in Telecommunications.
Keathley, who holds an AS in Information Systems Technology from Nashville State Technical College, followed by a BS in Information Systems from Middle Tennessee State University, began working for the state in 1998 as an IRSS associate for the department. She spent one year before being promoted to an IRSS2 in asset management and research and development. But it wasn't until 2005 that she was promoted to her current position as IRSS4.
Primarily, Keathley is responsible for working with various phone and computer systems. She acts as a liaison between OIR, F&A and DCS, and handles all of the office moves and renovations by entering requests to add or move cabling, phone services and systems and installing the network. She also works with Forms and Publications for the department as liaison between DCS and general services. "I have expertise in several computer applications and understand the workings of various phone systems used around the state," Keathley said. "This enables me to make sure social workers in the field have the necessary equipment needed when dealing with Tennessee's most precious citizens."
Having both her mother and sister working for the state government as well, Keathley plans to also continue in the field by using her skills in computers and telephone systems to her best abilities. She hopes to someday supervise the telecommunications area and maybe become a manger in the near future.
Keathley is the recipient of an award granted by her company in 2005 for anglicizing phone bills, and also won an ITMA Award for helping TFACTS in 2010. In her free time, Deborah enjoys reading and gardening.
