Biltmore Who's Who Selects Dawn A. Phelan as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry
The selection recognizes Dawn A. Phelan's commitment to excellence in Administration for the Land Surveying Profession.

Phelan, Information Services Administrator for Alberta Land Surveyors' Association, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Dawn A. Phelan's commitment to excellence in Administration for the Land Surveying Profession.
Phelan, who started working for the Association in 1995 started as a receptionist and has worked her way up to the administrative ladder.
In her current role, Phelan has a number of responsibilities, primarily providing support to the organization's executive director and registrar. She makes appointments, transcribes dictation, prepares correspondence and does various projects and research. She also provides administrative support to the Council, Discipline Committee, Legislation Ad Hoc Committee and the Standards Committee. In addition, she drafts meeting agendas for approval by the executive director and chairman, compiles materials for circulation, attends meetings, prepares meeting minutes and follow-up correspondence and also monitors assignments given to committee members to ensure that material is received on time.
"I learned a long time ago that I like to have variety in what I do while still being able to have a routine of sorts," Phelan said. "Over the years my position with the ALSA has changed numerous times but I am able to remain satisfied with what I am doing and my role in the Association."
Phelan hopes to join more organizations so that she can share what she has learned with people that are new to the administrative field. When she's not busy working, Dawn enjoys reading, scrapbooking and cross-stitching.
