Biltmore Who's Who Selects Colonel Charles Dahnmon Whitt as an Executive Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- Lexington, KY (1888PressRelease) March 02, 2012 - Colonel Charles Dahnmon Whitt, Author and Publisher of Dahnmon Whitt Family, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Colonel Charles Dahnmon Whitt's commitment to excellence in Writing and Publishing.
Colonel Whitt, a Journeyman sheet metal worker who spent over thirty-five years in the sheet metal industry before retiring in 2003, began researching genealogy in 1999. After conducting a good amount of research on Grandpa David Crockett Whitt, Whitt wrote a 580 page book in 2008, entitled Legacy, The Days of David Crockett Whitt.
Now overseeing his small publishing company, Dahnmon Whitt Family Publishing, Colonel Whitt conducts research, writes books, and promotes himself by hosting singings, festivals reenactments and public speaking.
"My new career has taught me how to conduct research, a number of new computer skills, publishing, and the art of selling books," Colonel Whitt said. Having fun is always my main goal."
Inspired by God, his wife and family, Colonel Whitt would like to see one of his eight books see the best sellers list sometime in the future. In the meantime, he continues to write and maintain his business.
Whitt is a member of the Appalachian Ohio Valley Writer's Guild, Virginia Writer's Club, Appalachian Writers Guild, and the American Veterans Association. He is also a certified lay speaker with the United Methodist Church. Whitt is the author of the following books: Legacy, The Days of David Crockett Whitt, The Patriot, Hezekiah Whitt, Dahnmon's Little Stories, Confederate American, Haunts and Spirits of the Past, Legacy 2nd Edition, The Days of David Crockett and The South Won, What If?, and Life's Journey, which was just released. He is the recipient of two Certificates of Recognition from the Senate of the Commonwealth of Kentucky for his research and writing abilities and recently served as Grand Marshall in a local parade.
