- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) November 17, 2011 - Bryan Turner, Presidential Professor of Sociology at The Graduate Center, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Bryan Turner's commitment to excellence in Graduate Education.
Turner, who holds both a Bachelor's and Doctorate Degree in Sociology, both from Leeds University, two Doctorate of Letters, one from Flinders, Australia and one from Cambridge University, as well as a Master's Degree in Sociology from Cambridge University, began his career as a junior lecturer at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland in 1970, teaching the sociology of religion. Turner currently edits two academic journals and has authored seventy-five books. He is a fellow of the Australian Academy of Social Science and is an active member of the American Sociological Research Association. When he isn't busy working, Bryan enjoys collecting books, traveling and playing cricket.
