Doughty, who holds a BS in Public Administration from Oakland University, followed by a Master's in Public Administration from Oakland University and a Master's in Business Administration from Michigan State University, began his sales and marketing career in telecommunications in 1990, selling phone switching systems, routers, and computer to computer transmission products.
In his current role, Doughty is responsible for all commercial aspects of the company's sales, marketing, and peripheral arterial clinical research. The company is one of only two start-up medical device companies to go public in the last two years with revenues jumping from $0 to $65 million annually in less than three years of Commercial Operations. His knowledge and experience benefit the company greatly with a solid knowledge base of sales, marketing, operations, finance, and good communication skills. "I come from a hard working blue collar family in Detroit," Doughty said. I have tried to build on that foundation by surrounding myself with the best and brightest and adding what I learn from them to my game."
Planning to stay working in the medical device field, Doughty also enjoys motivational speaking, sales and sales leadership training, and coaching.
Doughty is a member of the National Speakers Association. He has been the recipient of awards for ranking among the top performing sales and sales leadership professionals every year and with every company he has served in that capacity. In his free time, Brian reads biographies and history, and enjoys spending time with his family.
