Dr. Abdo, a physical therapist who is a board certified orthopedic specialist, certified in spinal manipulation, sports specific rehab, and a strength and conditioning specialist, recently opened his facility in Irvine as owner and director of rehabilitation.
Currently running the day to day operations, Dr. Abdo also evaluates and treats patients in orthopedic and sports physical therapy related injuries by designing and carrying out specific treatment plans.
"Our goal is to restore function in people to give them back their freedom from their own bodies," Abdo said. "We treat primarily musculoskeletal disorders and work a lot with athletes."
Abdo also hosts golf workshops in his clinic and has recently authored a book, Drive Your Pain Away: A Golfers Guide to Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement.
"I love working with people and helping them achieve their goals. It has always been a passion of mine. The book was another way to help others if I am unable to get them into my clinic," Abdo said.
The self-published book is currently available for purchase at his in Irvine office and on Amazon.
Dr. Abdo holds a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Azusa Pacific University and continues to show his dedication to his field by furthering his education. He hopes to continue helping others by putting on more golf seminars, promoting his book, and by taking on a teaching role in a physical therapy program at his Alma mater.
