Bradbury, who grew up around her father's business all her life, learned early on how to work and operate all aspects of what would become a very successful business of her own.
Fifteen years ago, Bradbury opened her own business, shadowing her father, from the ground up. Her agricultural business, which specializes in citrus hedging and topping, mowing, citrus tree grinding, land clearing and heavy equipment transport, is going strong, overseeing a full staff of ten employees. Her crew, which prides on quality work in a timely fashion, covers a client base that ranges from citrus growers to several divisions of the Department of Transportation.
Hoping to teach her young son the art of hard work and dedication, so that he too can prosper and eventually take over for her, Bradbury knows that she must work extra hard to prove herself and her business in a very male dominated field.
Bradbury is a member of Florida Citrus Mutual, Highland County Citrus Growers, Gulf Coast Citrus Growers, Polk County Farm Bureau, Highlands County Farm Bureau, DBE/WBE/SBA, Florida Cattlewomen, Inc., National Association of Professional Women, Haines City Northeast Polk County Chamber of Commerce and Dundee Area Chamber of Commerce. Her company was named South Florida's Small Business of the Year by Business Leader's Magazine for 2010-11. When April isn't busy working, she enjoys going hunting, fishing, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.
