Interactive-Online Music Company Offers Innovative Music Tool for Teaching.

Piano Marvel offers its students the ability to learn at their own pace, on their own time. The program rewards students for practicing and reinforces music teaching. It provides an incredible tool for the music teacher, and it gives students an opportunity to grow and learn on their own. "The concept is working so well," said inventor Aaron Garner, "that children who are using the program are learning at a rate four times faster than the traditional student."
The company, which is now being launched nationally, was founded in the spring of 2009. Developed by Garner, a music teacher at a Title One school, the state-of-the-art program was intended to create a fun, effective, and educational environment for students. "My goal is to impact the lives of the students," he said. "I love seeing these kids progress. All three hundred of my students are learning to read music. It's like speaking and reading a language. I see an opportunity to revolutionize education in our world."
Mostly self-taught, Garner grew up in a middle class family of nine children, with his father working in the steel mills. After pursuing music and becoming recognized at a talent show in high school and later winning a state piano competition in performance and composition, he decided to become a concert pianist. He earned his bachelor's degree in music, and was later offered an assistantship at the University of Northern Colorado where he began teaching and working on his master's degree.
