When this happens it should be greeted not with dismay but with glee as the new price presents an excellent buying opportunity. The one concern would be how long to wait; could the price drop even further? Well, of course, it could, even experienced market analysts will have varying opinions on this one; however, there are few factors at present to suggest a significantly lower pullback; in fact there are many macroeconomic factors that still offer strong support to gold. The Indian wedding season is upon us, which usually results in an increased demand for gold bullion of around 10%; debt issues continue to be a concern in Europe; there is civil unrest in Libya and US growth figures are disappointing. Safe haven demand therefore remains strong.
