- (1888PressRelease) January 19, 2016 - Mr. Bhaskar Bhat, M.D. of Titan Company Limited, has taken over as Chairman of Tata SIA Airlines Limited, succeeding Mr. Prasad Menon who retired from the airline on January 13, 2016. Mr. Bhat had joined the Board of the company with effect from January 14, 2016.
As the M.D. of the Titan Company Limited since 2002 and founding member of Titan Industries, Mr. Bhat has led it to become the largest watch manufacturer in India and the fifth largest in the world.
On assuming the role of the airlines' Chairman, Mr. Bhat said, "I am honoured to succeed Mr. Menon, and deeply appreciate how Vistara has established its firm presence in India. Vistara is founded on common values of the Tata group and Singapore International Airlines (SIA).
