Bharath University conducted a seminar on pursuing higher studies at USA. Ms. Brindha Balachandran, Education Coordinator, US Consulate General, Chennai chaired the seminar and delivered the special address.
- (1888PressRelease) November 23, 2011 - Chennai: Bharath University conducted a seminar on pursuing higher studies at USA, in the Bharath University-Salaiyur campus in Chennai recently. The seminar was aimed at creating awareness on the diverse & specialized post graduate courses available for the students. Ms. Brindha Balachandran, Education Coordinator, US Consulate General, Chennai chaired the seminar and delivered the special address.
Ms. Brindha Balachandran, who is also a part of the United States-Indian Educational Foundation (USIEF), explained in detail about the various educational programmes and the admission procedures that are now in force in the United States.
Speaking on the opportunities available in the United States, Ms. Brindha said, "The year 2010 saw the USIEF celebrating 'International Education Week' in the month of November. Based on the tremendous response, the same will be executed this year too. The IEW is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of International education and exchange worldwide. It is a joint initiative by the US department of education to promote programs that attract future leaders from all over the world to study learn and exchange experience in the US."
There was a Q & A session arranged with Ms Brindha, where students interacted with her about various opportunities available for them. Dr. Kadhir Viswalingam, Dean-Engineering and Dr. Jagannathan, Dean-Student Career Service of Bharath University were present on the occasion.
