  • (1888PressRelease) May 17, 2013 - Between 11 was first formed on November 11, 2011 (most likely the reason for the name) by Lionel Groilx College friends Hugo Anthonis, who plays drums, and Abel Mhedhbi, who plays the guitar. The two friends began jamming together and decided they wanted to form a complete Progressive Metal band so they brought Hugo's friend Sebastien Desgagne, who plays keyboard, into the fold. Soon after they completed the group by bringing in Alexandre Paquette on bass and vocalist Christopher Casselman.

Alexandre Paquette eventually left the band and Marc-Antoine Dumont filled his spot. They have made a local reputation for themselves as a Prog Metal Band and dream of revolutionizing Progressive music. The group doesn't offer what is expected of a normal Prog Metal band for they offer far less cries and more melodic vocals.

Between 11 says that they are inspired by groups Dream Theater, Opeth and Pain of Salvation and you can clearly hear that when they play. The band has released a demo, which contains six pieces titled A Debate.

These Quebecers will take to the stage for a 30 minute set in hopes of moving on to the international finals in Germany. The finals will take place at the Taubertal Festival on August 11, 2013. The Taubertal open Air Festival is held in the heart of the 'Taubertal' valley. The valley is the backdrop of the alluring medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, 'the Eiswiese.'
