Beta Analytic Promotes ASTM D6866 Testing at 2012 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioprocessing

- (1888PressRelease) May 08, 2012 - MIAMI, Florida -- Beta Analytic is exhibiting at the 9th World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioprocessing, one of a few conferences that brings together business leaders, investors, and policy makers in the biofuels, biobased products, and renewable chemicals industries. Darden Hood, Beta Analytic's president, is also joining the congress as one of the speakers in a discussion on the development of sustainable procurement policies. The four-day event will be held in Orlando, Florida, beginning on April 29, 2012.
More than 1,000 participants are expected to attend this year's conference at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. There are 6 plenary sessions and 35 breakout programs divided into six tracks: (1) Advanced Biofuel Technologies, (2) Feedstock Crops and Algae, (3) Renewable Chemical Platforms and Biobased Materials, (4) Specialty Chemicals, Pharmaceutical Intermediates, Food Ingredients, (5) Synthetic Biology and Metabolic Engineering, and (6) Technical Presentations.
Under the Renewable Chemical Platforms and Biobased Materials Track, a session on "Development of Sustainable Procurement Policies" is scheduled to take place on May 2, 2012, from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Mr. Hood is one of the speakers in this session. He will be presenting the company's effort to promote ASTM D6866 testing in labeling programs such as the USDA BioPreferred Voluntary Labeling Program.
