"A family of four can make up to $95,400.00 and still qualify for financial help to lower their premiums." Torey Glatz, Marketplace Specialist
Pittsburgh, PA (1888PressRelease) February 05, 2014 - If you are one of the many uninsured individuals in Western PA concerned about how to choose a health plan and how you will afford to pay for it, help is on the way. Benefits Network, a full service insurance agency is conducting Individual Enrollment Fairs in area libraries to help answer some of the toughest questions about buying individual health insurance. "Most people don't realize how much financial assistance is available to help them pay for insurance." says Justin Diamond, Marketplace Specialist for Benefits Network. "We speak with people everyday who have been uninsured for years and we are now able to find them affordable coverage. A family of four can make up to $95,400.00 and still qualify for assistance" adds Torey Glatz, Marketplace Specialist.
Individuals will also get help choosing a plan and a network that is right for their family. Highmark, HealthAmerica and UPMC all have plans available on the Marketplace. Each carrier has their own network of doctors and hospitals for patients to see in order to access the higher in-network level of benefits. "It's important they review the networks before making a selection." says Arlene Pushcar of Benefits Network. "They also have to review coinsurance, copays and deductibles. Many people don't realize how much money they may spend out of their pocket if they don't select the right plan." adds Pushcar.
