It is a destination for seamsters to rally and create -- a space to work on anything they can imagine! This sewing lounge offers classes, but even better, owner Bella Lofaso Brancato offers her expertise and support.

The Studio is the perfect way to meet new people, learn sewing techniques, and test drive the latest sewing machines. Bella's Studio's goal is to make sewing more accessible, let seamsters work with one another, and pass on the skills to the next generation of fashionistas and crafters.

Bella has just announced the studio's January classes. "My hope is that Bella's Studio is an inspirational, supportive environment for people to express their individuality by creating their own designs, clothing and accessories" said Bella. "By providing tools, supplies, resources, instruction in a professional, comfortable and fun workspace, we aim to create an atmosphere that encourages the free exchange of ideas between all skill levels."

Save the Date for Upcoming Workshops at Bella's Studio:

Beginning Crochet Series with Betty Withrow (Maximum enrollment: 6 students)
Betty Withrow of Big Sur is an accomplished textile artist who loves sharing her crocheting skills. In this 3-part workshop, Betty will first introduce basic crochet stitches and techniques. You can practice at home and come back for the 2nd workshop where you will begin a simple stunning Trumpet Scarf. In the 3rd class, Betty will help you finish your project.

· Saturday, January 12th (10 am - 1 pm)
· Saturday, January 19th (10 am - 1 pm)
· Saturday, February 2nd (10 am - 12 pm)
Cost:
· Three-part workshop cost is $60.00, plus $25.00 materials fee.

A Year in Stitches
Margaret Goldsmith has fallen in love with the meditative art of hand stitching. Throughout 2013 there will be 4 full-day workshops where you can unplug and learn the soothing rhythm of crafting stitches to create something beautiful.

Ongoing Lessons
PRIVATE LESSONS:
On the surface, sewing looks so easy, until you actually have to fire up the sewing machine and hope the machine functions. Private lessons focus on the student developing a secure understanding of how the process of sewing interrelates with all the varied components parts and steps necessary to complete a project.

Beginner Package: Includes 2 hours of private instruction with project materials and a Studio Punch Card
Cost: $160

OPEN STUDIO PUNCH CARD FOR PERSONAL PROJECTS
COST: $70.00 for 10-hour punch card (Maximum enrollment: 4 students per hour)
An open lab where you can bring any project to work on.

Bella's Studio Punch Card/Personal Projects is an open-lab where you can bring any project to work on and have full use of the Studio, machines and sewing notions. Recommended for those with some sewing experience. Must call to reserve a spot, as space is limited to 4 per hour.
